Questions about Courses

How long does it take to build out a course library?

Most practices start with 4 to 6 core courses (welcome to the practice, post-crown care, post-extraction care, whitening aftercare) and expand from there. With existing video content, the initial library takes 1 to 2 weeks. If you're shooting fresh content, expect 4 to 6 weeks. We can also recommend stock dental education content to license if you don't want to produce from scratch.

Where are the videos hosted?

Videos are hosted on Cajoon's secure CDN, optimized for mobile streaming. Patients don't need to download anything or log into YouTube. The player works on phones, tablets, and desktops without any setup on their end.

Can patient content include any treatment-specific information?

General educational content (what a crown is, what to expect after extraction, oral hygiene best practices) is safe and not PHI — it's not specific to any individual patient. The content is built once and sent to many. We do not embed patient-specific details (their treatment dates, diagnoses, etc.) into the courses themselves. The trigger to send a course is automated, but the content stays generic.

Does the staff training count toward continuing education requirements?

Cajoon hosts and tracks training, but accreditation depends on the course content provider. For your own internal protocols (front desk workflows, practice handbook, in-house procedures) Cajoon is the right place. For state-required CE credits like HIPAA, OSHA, or hygiene credentialing, you'll need accredited content — we can recommend providers whose content imports cleanly.

Can patients access courses without creating accounts?

For most patient content, yes — we use unique tokenized links that go straight to the course without a signup. For member portals and discussion communities, patients do log in (typically with a magic link to their email or phone). The friction is minimal but the portal needs identity for the community side to work.

How does Cajoon connect to my practice management software?

Cajoon connects to your PMS (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve) to know when a patient books, what procedure they're scheduled for, and when they've checked out. That's what enables the auto-drip — the right course goes to the right patient at the right time. We confirm the integration during onboarding.
